Adyan has been working for 3 years on the National Reform Strategy for Education on Citizenship and Co-existence (Al-Mouwatana w ‘Al-Tanawo’a w Al-A’ysh Ma’an Fi Lobnan). The project is carried out in full partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with the support of experts of The Centre for Educational Research and Development and aims to reform educational policies and the national curriculum. One aspect of this process deals with the memory of the war as a major component in rewriting the educational curriculum in Lebanon. The project targets the Ministry of Education, community leaders and educators. In the frame of the project, a National Chart was produced, addressing particular issues in educational reform including communal memory. The Chart was signed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education as well as other stakeholders.

Act for the Disappeared

Description
There are 17,000 people that disappeared during the civil war. Their fate is yet unknown. Their families do not know anything about them, and no one is attempting to open the case and make investigations. Act for the Disappeared works on a social level. To make the youth aware of the civil war and the case of the missing people, the NGO has gathered stories of victims and continues doing so. Recently, the NGO held three exhibitions called "Until We Know Their Fate" in Hamra, Ashrafieh, and Tarik El Jdideh where the stories were displayed to be read by passengers.
